A Renaissance in Patriotism: A Series of Blogs by Blockhead (1)

As of today, I have decided to start my first ‘series’ of blogs, whereas there is much to be said. 

After posting an earlier blog, a good friend and excellent writer reached out to me in the comments section (see previous blog history to see her words verbatim). Allow me to highlight some of her words that stood out to me the most at this time:
“Freedom and honor and patriotism stand on the brink of oblivion. Only those with the fortitude to defend it can drag it back…”

I appreciate her thanking me for “standing in the gap and keeping the darkness at bay”, but I also appreciate you readers who will join us in this journey. The author of War and Peace Leo Tolstoy’s diary entry December 1900 reads as follows: “To be able to affect others, an artist has to be an explorer, and his work of art has to be a quest. If he has discovered everything, knows everything, and is just preaching or entertaining, he makes no effect. Only if he keeps searching, then the viewer, or listener, or reader fuses with him in his search.”

I want you, the reader, to thoroughly understand before going any further that I am intending to be as blunt and straight-forward with these blogs as I possibly can be. I do not have all of the answers to how we can purposefully grab the ‘sheets’ of the sailboat that we shall call, for now, the S.S. Inner Compass, turn the sails of our nation back towards the destination of Patriotism, USA that is at our 5 o’clock while we lazily coast towards the isle of Complacency and Bigotry, Parts Unknown that is on the horizon at our 12 o’clock. As we drift aimlessly on the gentle waves, the same plane soars overhead that I mentioned in my podcast (see link below to listen) that hold aboard the tyrant, entitled brat and sociopath I spoke of. Imagine if you are the pilot in this plane…Both of us have a difficult decision to make, don’t we?

Manny Scott writes in his blog the following: “…God is not a genie you or I can rub and get stuff from.  God is not some casino owner who is about to just give us some big jackpot.” Now, my faith walk is very important me. I also realize by reading this that my faith in God, along with prayer for this nation without any works and any struggles to keep the darkness of racial discrimination, bigotry, hatred, ignorance and lack of patriotism at bay will be fruitless. If you have taken the time to read this far into this blog, I sincerely hope that you too will join me on this trek.

    The gauntlet has been thrown readers! Speak and spread patriotism despite those that actively seek to muzzle your right to do so! Right on Blockhead! Count me in on this trek.

Anchored in the Standards of Truth

Military Suicides

In 1987, Suicidal Tendencies released an album with a song called “Join the Army”. This ‘whimsical title’ is very relational to my thoughts today.
